The two betrothed meet under a garden archway, both smiling at the thought of being together. One reaches into their outer pocket revealing a pair of identical gold-link necklaces with a large, teardrop emerald at its center. The gifter places one of the twin amulets around their lover’s neck, green jem shimmering softly in the moonlight. It’s beautiful. Suddenly, the amulet flashes with an envious green light and the adorned lover falls to the ground, seizing compulsively—it’s bewitched!
OBJECTIVE
Save your betrothed from the effects of the bewitched amulet by hunting down the wicked mage, Sagan, who placed the curse on it. Sagan lives on the outskirts of the city in a magical, stone tower surrounded by forest. It’s here your test of true love begins. Quick! Make haste before it’s too late.
INFORMATION
This 5e one shot adventure is designed to be played with only one player and a dungeon master–you and your significant other! The Amulets of Hearbreak is perfect as a Valentine's Day DnD one shot, for a wedding anniversary, or any other milestone you may be celebrating with your significant other.
However, this adventure can also be easily adapted for a daring quest with multiple players! Rules are included for how to adapt play with a group.

I absolutely loved the Amulets of Heartbreak one-shot! The materials were sufficient to create a really solid story, and gave enough information to support even the newest of DMs (me). I felt confident going in, and my partner and I had a really fun time playing through the story. We skipped a few things due to some choices and some rolls, and so our playthrough took about 3 hours. I would totally run this again with more players and just make some small adjustments - it was a blast!

My wife and I played this one shot and had a lot of fun! We’re novices when it comes to DND but because it was a one player it was a great date night! This was my first one player campaign but we had a lot of fun. It took about 2 hours and the pace was great. My wife sometimes gets bored after long or slow gameplay but she was engaged the whole time. The puzzles and storyline was great! We finished with 1hp left and almost ended a terrible fate! Great for first timers or experienced players. Hopefully you make some more like this!!
I immediately bought this one shot when I found out it was for two players. My husband and I played it for date night and had a great time. It took about 3 hours. We liked the back story and puzzles that were included. I would recommend this to any D&D lover. This would also be a good intro for someone who has never played before.
