OBJECTIVE
Find out what has happened to the village people, what is the purpose of the enchanted music box, and who or what is behind all of this. The adventurers will begin their quest in the Visio Nocturna Regnum, or Nightmare Realm, where their sanity and wits will be put to the test. For only there can an innocent dream suddenly shift into a nightmare of a situation. Who will make it out alive and who will never wake up?

This free DnD one-shot adventure is intended for a level-3 party, but can be adjusted to fit groups of a higher or lower level. The downloadable PDF includes creature stat blocks for convenience.

A one-shot adventure for a tabletop roleplaying game such as Dungeons & Dragons is content intended to be completed by the group within a single session.
This contrasts with a regular campaign which typically lasts at least several sessions to complete the story.

Very nice one-shot. The information was great and all the details that went along with the game was wonderful. The only reason it wasn't a 5 star review is due to the organization, I beleive this is to allow the DM to organize the story how he/she would like to use it. I think the Encounter stats should be listed with the portion of the story they are planning to be used as well as character descriptions but other than that this was great! I had a great time presenting it for my first time adventurers!
Nice story! Gave more than enough for me to build off of but left room. Everyone had such a fun time playing!
I adapted this a bit to fit my wants/needs and developed a couple extra enemies for it but overall great starting point for anyone looking for a good homebrew!
I just had the most memorable campaign using this module. The module is well-written, but not too detailed, giving us DMs the freedom to tweak and add sandbox component between the scenes. The basic idea is unique and original, and the music enhances the immersion. I tweaked the module to make this campaign personal (and darker), and also added the "sanity system" to level up the suspense and story development. The experience was priceless.
Honestly, it's been months since I've been looking for a module like this. I'm really looking forward to running other modules from Rune Foundry.
It's was a lot of fun! And it was nice because we only had a short amount time. I could have made it shorter or longer too.
