Forest Clearing Map
The forest clearing map is smaller in playable terrain but mighty in versatility. It measures 23x16 inches and comes with a few different options to save you time. These include print-ready or VTT-ready variants as well as grid vs. no grid and day vs. night. Think of the possibilities when it comes to classic forest encounters taking place here, like ambushes, caravans, or native creatures playing harmless pranks on the party. It has just enough room for mounts, wagons, and small-scale skirmishes, making it perfect for a neutral meeting ground or deadly kill zone.
Rune Foundry offers another free dnd map similar to this one, but with a glowing campfire at the center of a few pitched tents, should that be of interest to your story.
Forest Path Map
The forest path map measures 36x25 inches, making it one of the biggest within the pack. It comes with 16 variants, including files for digital and print, with and without grids, and day and night. Unique to this map only, there's a version with complete tree cover and another with translucent trees, giving the Dungeon Master flexibility for when to reveal what the players are up against (like a built-in fog-of-war effect). Having a hidden path makes it ideal for classic travel encounters such as goblin campsites, roadside bandits, forest-protecting dryads, or dramatic pursuit scenes.
Forest River and Waterfall Map
This forest river and waterfall map is uniquely designed with an isometric feel to give players a sense of scale and proportion. It measures 30 inches by 22 inches, providing enough space for larger encounters. The download includes a version with and without a grid, day and night, and of course, resolutions for both printed copies and digital usage. Perhaps your party is seeking a way to cross the river, volleying arrows from one end to the other, or taking a short rest to enjoy the refreshing waters. This setting creates natural environmental hazards to keep players on their toes and make combat more dynamic.
Dark Haunted Forest Map
The dark haunted forest map is ideal for suspenseful or horror-tinged encounters. It's large, moody, and available in digital, print, grid, or no grid versions. Think vampires, wraiths, or will-o'-wisps lurking about between the dead trees, luring the adventurers off the path with a well-planned jumpscare moment at every turn. The mysteries of the dark forest are endless and an especially great fit for DnD Halloween one shots. Let the map's details help inspire what nefarious deeds will occur.
Enchanted Forest Map
The enchanted forest map may not be the location of a deadly encounter, but its glowing mushrooms and magical energy make it perfect for a fey-themed interaction. This map measures 23x16 inches, with digital and print versions that have grids, should you desire. Use it for meetings with an archdruid or an illusory trap set by a mischievous creature. This is a personal favorite of the Rune Foundry team. What shall you make of its whimsical potential?

ASK RUNE FOUNDRY
What is a battle map?
Battle maps are often used in tabletop roleplaying games to help explain a combat situation visually. They don’t necessarily have to be used for battles though. Their use has expanded to help show any area to players.
Grids are typically included with battle maps to show the distance between characters in games such as Dungeons & Dragons. Grid squares might represent five feet squared or more based on the dungeon masters preference.
Battle maps can be printed or used digitally on platforms such as Roll20. We include versions for both!
What does each battle map include?
Check each battle map pack to see what’s included. Typically, we will include a few different maps within the pack theme.
Separate versions may be included with and without gridlines for convenience. These can be printed or used in digital tools like Roll20.

Flexible settings that can be adapted to a variety of game scenarios. Look good too.
I’ve used a few things from rune factory now. The quality is far and away some of the best that I’ve seen. I really appreciate the items they allow you to try for free as I’ve been burned before. I will definitely be buying items in the future as the material I’ve used thus far is just so awesome. The map packs come in a variety of models depending on how you play. The quality can’t be understated and I look forward to future purchases
Can't beat the price! I used one of the maps for an encounter, and I appreciated the ambience that it helped create. I have some ideas the others have sparked, too. All around, a great pack.
The perfect forest map pack for when you’re in a pinch. I like the selection of dnd maps featuring a haunted forest, enchanted forest, etc. but the best part is the variations. I use digital maps on VTTs like Roll20 when I DM but this bundle has printable files as well if that’s something you prefer.
I like all of these Maps especially that one Pond that just looks magical I don't know we use these but I do plan to they look great
